Eldar Guardian Defenders - WIP#3

Still a lot of greenery to add to the base

Just a quick update to my Guardians progress:

I have done some work to the bases; I painted them to look a bit muddy with some rocks by firstly wet blending old GW Snakebite Leather and Dark Flesh to make sure I didn't get a monochromatic base. Then I dry-brushed Snakebite Leather then Bleached Bone on top. The rocks were based with GW Blue Grey as I wanted cool grey rocks, not warm like the mud. I then applied several coats of inks ranging from red to blue and dry-brushed again with Blue Grey, then Space Wolves Grey, Bleached Bone then white.

After I have varnished the model I will be applying a lot of greenery using the mud texture as negative space. I re-touched up the outer side of the base with black as I love the look. As if the model was carved out of the battlefield, frozen in a moment of time.

Next I need to touch up the model where I have been messy with the basing paint, shade it and start the highlights. Exciting times!

    1. Cheers buddy. Yeah, I have the all the bases of this squad at this stage now. I'll tidy them up, ink them, then retouch up before I post again. Getting excited about finishing my first squad!
